On this Feast of Christ the King, Fr Lawrence, wants to present to you this marvellous video that totally expresses what this feast is all about.
Dr. Shadrach Meshach Lockridge was the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, San Diego, USA, from 1953 – 1993. He died in 2000. Dr. Lockridge was active in the civil rights movement, and under his leadership Calvary Baptist hosted several of its leaders, including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Rev. Jesse Jackson. On one occasion after his retirement Dr. Lockridge, was spotted in the audience at the beginning of a Baptist convention. The organiser of the convention asked him to come up to the stage, and open in prayer. This is what happened:
