The COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic, has affected St Robert of Newminster Parish, as it has all parishes up and down the country and indeed throughout the world. It has been a very difficult time.
However, with an increase in vaccinations in the UK, a drop in the levels of the virus and the numbers of people being admitted to Hospital decreasing, St Robert’s Church is reopening to celebrate a Sunday Mass from 28th February 2021. For a few weeks the weekday Masses will be celebrated privately.
We continue to follow all the covid-safe guidelines which we were following previously. We also ask that you ring in advance to book a place at Mass, using the parish telephone details given in the newsletter on this website. Booking a place lets us know how many will be attending, due to very limited capacity of only 36 individual spaces compared to our normal Sunday attendance of 180.
We also ask that if you have downloaded the Contact Tracing App from the NHS that you use the app to scan the QR code we have for our church when you attend.
