About Us
St Robert of Newminster Church is a Catholic Church. It lies in the heart of the town of Morpeth, the ‘County Town of Northumberland’. It is situated on Oldgate, just along from the Clock Tower and adjacent to the River Wansbeck. The map at the bottom of the page gives you a more precise location of where we are.
St Robert of Newminster Church is described by some as a Gem Church. It is open for worship and quiet prayer during the day, usually from Adoration in the morning until approximately 4.30pm each day.
The Parish of St Robert of Newminster, covers the town of Morpeth, with Pegswood, Ulgham, Tritlington, Fenrother and Stanton to the north, Stannington and Hepscott to the south and all surrounding villages, from Bothal in the East, to Mitford, Molesden, Whalton, Hartburn and Cambo in the west.
The Church and Parish is part of the St Benet Biscop Partnership in Northumberland and part of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle
