We have an active Parish Pastoral Council at St Robert of Newminster Parish, which meets regularly throughout the year. This group meets to discuss the Pastoral Care that we offer to those in the Parish. In 2023 we have reviewed what we do for the Parish and how we can do things better.
We have some members of the Parish Pastoral Council who have accepted responsibility for the Coordination of what are called “Areas of Mission” in the Parish and those members and areas of Mission are listed below. These areas of Mission cover the Pastoral Work and Care of our Parish Community. There are eight areas of Mission that we consider important to our parish. It is hoped that before each Pastoral Council Meeting those who have accepted this responsibility will be in touch with the various groups that meet in the parish, to find out what’s going on and feed back to the Pastoral Council. Likewise, if nothing is happening it will give the Pastoral Council the opportunity to consider what could be done to reach out to those areas of parish pastoral life which is not flourishing so much.
